I'm Watching You.

Don't make Me come down there!

August 7, 2026

“Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the LORD. (Jeremiah 23:24a NIV)

This question emphasizes God’s omnipresence (being everywhere) and omniscience (having infinite awareness, understanding, and insight), warning that no person can escape His sight or conceal their actions from Him.

When you read this scripture does it make you feel a little guilty?  Which occurs when you believe you have violated your own moral standards or let someone down—God maybe?

In the mid-1990’s billboards across the U.S. read “I’m watching you! God” “Don’t make me come down there.” “Have you read my best-seller?” “We need to talk.” “Tell the kids I love them.” “What part of ‘Thou Shalt Not’ didn’t you understand?” “Keep using my name in vain, I’ll make your rush hour longer.” “Life is short. Eternity isn’t.”

We forget God is always presence, always watching.  What would God say to you today? Are your actions a reflection of what God has called you to do or to say? It is something to think about.  God Bless.  Amen.
