In August of 2003, at our 30th High School reunion, I re-met a man that I had known since birth. He came into my life and gave his heart to me. He has blessed me greatly for the past 20 years and I look forward to many more. He still makes my heart beat fast and we laugh at the times to come. Prior to me getting together with him, I was alone. It came to a point where I did not date. I had prayed and prayed for Mr. Right, for more than 20 years. I would beg God and plea with God, but all the begging was for not. And then Gary came into my life. I thank God daily for him and all he does. Sometimes, I probably do not say how much I appreciate him, but I am so blessed. When you say thank you, it is a polite expression used when acknowledging a gift, service, or compliment, or accepting an offer. Being appreciate, means recognizing the full worth of someone or something. Do you thank and show your appreciation to your spouse, children, step-children, in-laws, parents, siblings, friends? And what about God? Do you show appreciation and thankfulness to God for all the things He has done for you? 1 Chronicles 16:34 reads, “Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!” Psalm 95:2 says, “Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!” Let us praise the Lord and give thanks. But also let us tell those whom you love just how much they mean to you and how thankful you are to have them as a part of your life. God Bless. Amen.
