In high school, in the early 1970’s, I had an English teacher who had narcolepsy. She would often fall asleep, in class. I would say to everyone in the class, “Start yawning and stretching,” we would and soon she would be fast asleep. We would all then leave class. I guess you would say we ditched class. When she would wake up, she would find her entire class gone. She never said anything to anyone, even to us, because she could not tell anyone she lost her entire class, because she fell asleep. We thought we were getting away with something really cool. We would laugh about it, and do it again every chance we got. But what about this teacher, can you imagine how she must have felt? Back then, people didn’t talk about this disease, nor really understand it. How hard her life must have been. What we say and what we do in life, affects those around us. We can influence someone for good or bad the choice is ours to make. Here is the question to you, “Are you influencing others for good or are you leading others down the wrong path? Do you help others or cause harm?” Proverbs 28:10 reads, “Lead good people down a wrong path and you’ll come to a bad end; do good and you’ll be rewarded for it.” Today, make sure the words you speak, the actions you take are a representation of our LORD so that you do not lead someone astray. God Bless. Amen.
