In the book “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz, it helps us to better understand, how we should respond to different events, actions, words, and desires. It consist of four agreements, they are 1. If you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. 2. Always do your best. 3. Don’t assume anything. 4. Don’t take anything personally. These agreements are very good to live by. It is a great read. I believe, these should be our guidelines to life, but I think there is one agreement missing. In my opinion, it is the most important. It is the great commandment, it is found in Leviticus 19:18, Matthew 22:36-40, Mark 12:28-34, and Luke 10:27a. These scriptures tell us that we are to love your God with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. If we could follow the four agreements and the great commandment, on a daily basis, our lives would be so much fully and a lot easier for us to cope with. Don’t you think? It is something to strive for. God Bless. Amen.
