In the late 90’s early 2000’s this prayer became a very popular prayer to pray. It is a request prayer and a very beautiful prayer. The author of this prayer comes from the Old Testament. We only hear from Jabez, the author this one time in the Bible, but it does say this man was an honorable man. The prayer comes from 1 Chronicles 4:10 and reads, “Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, ‘Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.’ And God granted his request.” As people of God, we all want this prayer to be manifested in our lives. We want God to bless us and let no harm come into our lives. We want to live a life free of pain. Thus, we turn to God praying and praying and asking for mercy and grace. Today, no matter what you are going through remember that God is with you in all situations and circumstance. He is the one sure thing in this life of ours. Turn to Him, say this prayer, in fact, repeat it a couple of times daily and see the power of the LORD God Almighty working in and through your life. You want to know why? Because you are spending time alone with God. Thus, God’s power is manifested! God Bless. Amen.
