Laughter, joy, and happiness are available to all, on a daily basis, choose to enjoy this life of ours. To laugh, means to make the spontaneous sounds and movements of the face and body that are the instinctive expressions of lively amusement. They say laughter is good for the soul. When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried? Sometimes, we forget to laugh, we get so serious and soon the joy of living goes missing. Norman Cousins is said to have cured his cancer, through laughter. He said, “Therefore, assume the opposite to be true, that positive emotions – love, hope, faith, laughter, confidence – would yield salutary results. However, Cousins knew that “putting positive emotions to work is nothing so simple as turning on a garden hose.” It is an amazing story. If you ever get the chance, read his book. The Bible says, “And Sarah said, God has made laughter for me…” (Genesis 21:6a) “For the joy of the LORD is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10) See, laughter is an amazing ability that God gave us all. Job 8:21 reads, “He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.” Sometimes we just forget to laugh. Today, let us remember to bring laughter into our day. God Bless. Amen.
