Let us pray together.

If two or more are gathered in His Name there He shall be.

May 5, 2026

“Again I say to you.  If two of you agree on earth about anything they ask.  It will be done for them by my father in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:19-20 ESV)

These verses emphasize the power of unified prayer and Christ’s presence in gathering together.  For we often pray by ourselves.  But when we prayer with one another person, prayer becomes stronger, more intense, and the power of prayer radiates outward.  Many interpret this as a promise that when believers align their prayers with God’s will, He honors that agreement.

This verse guarantees that Jesus is present, even when a small gathering of two or three meet in his name.  Sure, praying by oneself is very important because it develops your relationship with God. Collective prayer highlights the power of “agreement” “the promise of God’s presence” “the strengthening of one’s faith.” Praying with others helps sustain personal faith and reminds believers they are part of a larger body—rooted in God.

Today, let us pray together: “O Lord our God, mighty and wonderful are You. We come before You, asking for guidance in our daily tasks.  Where there is sadness, bring joy.  Where there is pain, bring hope.  Where there is heartache, bring strength.  Where there is anger, bring peace.  Where there is confusion, bring wisdom.  Where there is sorrow, bring happiness.  Where there is fear, bring courage.  For You have told us, where two or three are gathered in your Name, there You will be.  Be with us O Lord.  Help us. Guide us.  Sustain us. These things we pray.”  God Bless. Amen.
