Praise God, give Thanks.

Sometimes, all we can do is praise Him and give thanks.

July 9, 2026

“Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.” (1 Chronicles 29:13NIV)

We give thanks to God because He is inherently good, He provides our spiritual and mental well-being through His strength, courage, love, mercy, forgiveness, and His sustaining power.  As we are being grateful—giving thanks it moves us away from our problems and shifts our perspective onto God’s unchanging nature and love.

This scripture then tells us after we give thanks, we are to praise God by focusing on who God is—His attributes, power, and majesty rather than what He does.  We are to praise Him no matter the circumstance!  We praise God through words and by singing songs unto Him.  We speak about God’s goodness and as we praise Him, we thank Him, they go hand in hand.

We do this during good times as well as the not so good times.  As we focus on God, we understand that God is a constant even though our situation changes. For God is the same yesterday today and forever.  God is our all in all.  So, praise Him even if you do not feel like it.  Praise Him and give thanks—focus on Him and soon life will move in a better direction.  Because sometimes, all we can do is praise Him.  And that is enough.  God Bless. Amen
