Romans 12:2a reads, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” 1 Peter 1:4 reads, “As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance.” Then Leviticus 20:22 says, “Moreover you shall not follow the customs of the nation which I will drive out before you, for they did all these things and therefore I have abhorred them.” As believers in God, we are called to a new way of life. We are NOT to conform we are to follow God’s ways. God is very specific in what we are to do. We are not to conform to worldly ways, we are to be conformed to the ways of our Lord. We are to do what Jesus would do. If you have any questions on what you are called to be and to do read the 10 commandments Exodus 20 then read the four Gospels finally read the Book of Romans. This will explain to you the guideline you are to follow. So many people now days, try to make scripture fit their needs and their wants, so that they can justify what they want to do. As people of God, we must follow and uphold what we are called to do and to be. See we are a nation based on God and God’s principles. The founding Father’s purposely created a nation that is based upon God. Reread say the Pledge of Allegiance. Today let us remember how important our God is, let us remember who and what we are called to do and to be. Praise be to God. God Bless. Amen.
