Salvation means the preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin or loss. In the Christian tradition, it means deliverance from sin and its consequences, brought about through Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. Isaiah 12:2-8 tells us, “Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and song; and he has become my salvation. With joy you will draw water out of the wells of salvation. In that day you will say, “Give thanks to the LORD! Call on his name. Declare his doings among the peoples. Proclaim that his name is exalted!” Our LORD is our salvation. He is our salvation and our hope. Ephesians 2:8-9a reads, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God...” Romans 3:23 tells us, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” Today, no matter how your day unfolds, whether it is a good day or bad. Remember what the Lord has done for you. He is your salvation, your Lord, your God. So give thanks and offerings of praise. Trust in the Lord, for He is good and remember, the God of our salvation will give you the strength and the courage you need to face this day. He is a very present help, in times of trouble. Amen. God Bless.
