Scary movies and I do not get along.

Scary movies and I do not get along. If a scary part of the movie comes up. I am the one jumping up and screaming. I have scared an entire movie theater before, with my fear. One time when the movie Jaws first came out. My three boys and I were watching it. The shark was about to bite. I jumped up screaming and took some of my oldest son’s skin with me. I was terrified. Fear was raging through me. I scratched my son in my fear! Yikes! The definition of fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain or a threat. We all have experienced fear at one time or another. When fear sets in it can immobilize us, whether it is for a loved one, a job, finances, or even our own health. The fear I am talking about does not cause harm to you or others. The fear I am talking about is internal and can come in many different forms. Some of these fears are stronger than others. One way to overcome fear, whether it is imaginary or not. Is to focus on the LORD God Almighty. For when we focus upon the LORD, we are filled peace, calmness and the assurance that with God on our side we can make it through any situation. Psalm 34:4 says, “I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” I have even said The Lord’s Prayer over and over again, until my fear subsides. It is something to remember when fear takes over. God Bless. Amen.
