The 2 Great Commandments are, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:30-31) These two commandments tell us of the importance of love and extending love towards others, but also of loving oneself. Love is an intense feeling of deep affection that you share with others. Love of self is an appreciation of your worth and well-being, encompassing actions that support your growth and happiness. It involves accepting yourself, treating yourself with kindness and respect. See, how when you learn to love yourself you are better able to extend love toward others. That is why the 2 Great Commandments include learning to love yourself a God does is so important. Today, try to do all things in love. Tell God how much you love Him, love yourself and be kind to yourself, share that love with others. Maybe, just maybe, because of how you are treating those around you, their lives will be better for it. God Bless. Amen.
