The Lord is My Shepherd.

The Lord is with me in all things.

August 2, 2026

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:4 KJV)

Even though I may walk through hard times, fear, sorrow, or sadness those things will not control me, because You, my God are with me.

No evil, whether physical, mental, or spiritual will cause me harm because God is with me.

The rod and the staff are the tools of a shepherd which he uses to protect his sheep.  In this verse God is the shepherd and we are the sheep.  This shows us that God helps and cares for us during the good, the bad, and the ugliness of life, because God is always with us.

What powerful words this scripture offers us.  When we can truly realize that God is with us in all situations and in all of life, we are better able to face any danger that comes our way.

So, whether you are in a valley in your life or climbing a mountain it is temporary.  You are not meant to stay in those difficult moments, things change.  And most important, you do not have to face the darkness on your own, because God, the Lord of all things is walking right next to you.  It is something to remember when life gets difficult.

Read this verse repeatedly.  Remember these words, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear not, for You, Lord are with me; Your rod and Your staff, will comfort me and guide me.” (Psalms 23:4) God Bless.  Amen.
