The past is the past. Live life today!

The past is the past.

June 6, 2023

The past is the past. Live life today! The past creates who and what we are—yet we cannot live in the past. The future is something we look forward too—hoping and praying that life will get better. The present is what we are living in this very moment—it is all we have, for we cannot change the past nor do we know what the future will bring. What we can do, is take a look at our past, analyze what we did and didn’t do and from that experience we can gain insight into the present moment we are in. What I have found is some of us live with regrets. Regrets of the past, wishing we would have made this decision and not that decision. All the regrets in the world, all the wishing, will not change the past, in anyway. It is the past. That is why it is called the past. Let the past go. Forgive yourself, live life, live life today, as if there is no tomorrow. Philippians 4:8-9 tells us, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” So remember life is short—it is a gift—use this day wisely—be thankful—don’t take life for granted—and know that today is the first day of the rest of your life. Make this day the best it, for once this day is gone, you can never get it back. It is in the past! God Bless. Amen.
