Wait Upon the Lord.

God will and can restore your strength.

August 1, 2026

“But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.  They will soar high on wings like eagles.  They will run and not grow weary.  They will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 NLT)

“But they that wait upon the LORD”(KJV) This part of the verse reminds us to “wait” for the Lord instead of rushing into something.  We are to learn to trust in the Lord.  We are to exercise patience, look before we leap, learn to allow a situation to develop naturally instead of forcing the situation.

When we do this, we will find new strength.  For God will help you get rid of tiredness and make you feel strong and confident again.  God restores our energy and strength through a combination of spiritual rest, mental renewal, and physical fortitude.

God helps us to learn to soar.  He helps us to overcome weariness.  And gives us the strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other.  We learn to move through hard times by walking or running without giving up.

This scripture is one we should read daily when we feel overwhelmed, weary or faint. Because it offers a universal solution to our exhaustion by shifting the burden of life’s difficulties from self-reliance to an everyday, continuous companionship with God.  We learn to rely upon God in all things.  We learn to soar high on wings like eagles.  We are able to run and not grow weary.  And we have the strength to walk and not faint.  Today, whatever you are going through read this scripture.  And remember God is with you.  He will give you the strength you need to get through your situation.  God Bless.  Amen.
