Wait! Waiting can be a very hard thing

Waiting can be a very hard thing to do at times.

September 10, 2024

Wait! Waiting can be a very hard thing to do at times. We are not inclined to wait, are we? Wait means to stay where one is or delay action until a particular time or until something else happens. So, what thing or situation are you waiting for? How long have you been waiting? The Bible tells us in Psalm 27:14, “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.” I have found that I can become impatient while I wait for the LORD, for as human being we want what we want when we want it—so waiting can become difficult. When we wait for the Lord we have faith, hope, and trust in God to help us. The thing to remember is that praying helps calm your nerves as you wait. The other thing to remember is it is not our timing but God’s timing that is the key in life. So, release whatever you need to wait on to the LORD God Almighty and remember, “wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord…” (Psalm 103:5) It is something to keep in mind while you are waiting for the LORD. God Bless. Amen.
