We all have been let down by others

We all have been let down by others and we have all let down others—we are human—we make mistakes.

We all have been let down by others and we have all let down others—we are human—we make mistakes. So if this is true, who do you trust your spouse, your children, your parents, your siblings, a friend, or yourself? Maybe you trust all of the above, maybe none of the above, because others have let you down, time and time again. But when push comes to shove; when the pressure is on; when the situation is critical whom do you trust? Trust means the firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. People tend to trust you when they believe they are interacting with someone who is real, when they have faith in your judgment and competence, and when they feel you really care. Trust occurs when you feel safe to tell another person good or bad news. When you do what you say you are going to do, trust is manifested. Trust happens, when you show respect to another person, even when you disagree with him or her. Trust is there when you discuss life changing decisions, with one another, before making the decision. Trust is built upon. If we are honest, God is the best example of trust we can find. God is the one sure thing in this life of ours, for no matter what happens God is there in all situations and circumstances, even when life does not turn out the way we want. God is there giving us comfort and strength, hope and courage. Scripture says, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the LORD our God.” (Psalms 20:7) See our friends and family are human and at times, we get hurt by them, but God will never fail us—He is a sure thing. So let us put our trust in the LORD—knowing that all things work for good for those who love the LORD. Therefore trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6) God Bless. Amen.
