We Have a Choice.

We choose to be happy, mad, sad, or glad.

June 22, 2026

“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, ‘children of God’ without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” (Philippians 2:14 NIV)

Life is not an inconvenience. Inconvenience is something that causes trouble, difficulties, or extra effort.  It is an annoyance rather than a major crisis.  Life is life—things happen, frustrations occur.  The key to learning to deal with life in a healthy manner is to not focus on the inconvenience of life but focus on God instead.

“Do everything without grumbling or arguing” means to approach all of life willingly, by choice with a positive attitude and relationships with a willing and peaceful spirit, rather than complaining or confrontational one.

Life is about perspective. You choose to be happy, mad, sad, or glad.  The choice is always yours. You can focus on God, or you can focus on “self” the choice is yours.  You can choose to see your life as hard and frustrating—focusing on yourself or you can see it as an adventure—knowing that life is full of ups and downs.

For choosing to act willingly in daily life means choosing to step up with a positive, cooperative attitude. So, what will you choose today?  A joyful, unified, and positive attitude allowing others to see the God within you?  Or grumbling and arguing about your life?  The choice is yours. God Bless.  Amen.
