What are you thankful for? To be thankful

What are you thankful for?

February 10, 2025

What are you thankful for? To be thankful means feeling and expressing appreciation for the things and people in your life. It can also mean being conscious of the benefits you have received. You can be thankful for your health, your spouse, your children, your stepchildren, your daughters in laws, your sons in laws, your grandchildren, your great-grandchildren, your parents, your family, your siblings, your home, your job, your community, your freedom, God. When you acknowledge what you are thankful for, you are intentional about looking for things to be grateful for. You focus on the good not the bad, the positive not the negative, the glass half full not half empty. You become thankful for the small things. You even begin to tell those you love how thankful you are to have them in your life. You acknowledge God and how mighty and wonderful He is. You praise His holy name and give thanks for all the wonderful things He has done in your life. You realize God gave you life and you appreciate all the things you have. Thessalonians 5:18 reads, “…give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you.” Colossians 3:17 tells us, “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” So, what are you thankful for? Maybe it is because you woke up this morning and God is with you. God bless. Amen.
