What do you think, is it a sin

What do you think, is it a sin to waste your life away?

December 2, 2023

What do you think, is it a sin to waste your life away? Is it a sin to give up and not try? Is it a sin to live in regret? What do you consider, if any, a sin in your life? The seven deadly sins are pride—being extremely satisfied with one’s on achievements. Envy—a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else’s possessions, qualities or luck. Gluttony—habitual greed or excess in eating. Lust—very strong sexual desire. Anger—a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility. Greed—intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food. Sloth—reluctance to work or make an effort; laziness. The seven virtues are humility, kindness, abstinence, chastity, patience, liberality, and diligence. The seven Heavenly virtues are faith, hope, charity, fortitude, justice, temperance, and prudence. Have you ever given these sins or virtues any thought? As people of God, we are called to live a certain way, to talk a certain way, to act a certain way, and to treat others a certain way. If that is true, what do you think, are there some areas in your life, that you need to make an adjustment on? Sin is very subtle and has a deceptive way in our lives. It is, as if sins, lures you in. Some of the simplest things that we do, if you take a closer look at, are sin, but our society has watered sin down and we make excuses. James 4:17 reads, “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.” It is something to think about. God Bless. Amen.
