What does joy mean to you. Does it

What does joy mean to you.

February 16, 2025

What does joy mean to you. Does it mean being excited, happiness, having fun. Does joy mean contentment and peace in your everyday life. The dictionary says joy is a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. It is an emotion that evokes well-being, success, good fortune or the prospect of possessing what one desires. Joy is being delighted, having bliss, or to enjoy what one is doing. Does being a believer in our Lord create joy in your life? When I smile and think of the Lord and how much I love Him I experience joy. There is a song that expresses our joy in the Lord it goes, “I got that joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart! Where? Down in my heart. Down in my heart to stay…And I’m so happy, so very happy I’ve got the love of Jesus in my heart. Down in my heart.” Psalms 35:27 reads, “Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. Yes, let them say continually, “The LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant!” Today, let the joy of our Lord shine forth in all that you do. Give thanks and praise the LORD! Praise the LORD for He is righteous and good. His steadfast love endures forever. For we got that joy of the Lord. For the joy of the Lord is our strength. (Nehemiah 8:10) God Bless. Amen.
