What Does Love Have To Do With It?

Love--what do your actions reveal?

June 20, 2026

“Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude.  Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong; but rejoices in the right.  Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 RSV)

This is the love chapter.  It gives the most accurate understanding and definition of love you can find.  It tells us how to love and what to expect from love.  Today insert “I” where the word “love” is.  Think about how do you feel after you read this scripture again?

“I am patient and kind; I am not jealous or boastful; I am not arrogant or rude. I do not insist on my own way; I am not irritable or resentful; I do not rejoice at wrong; but rejoice in the right. I bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, endure all things.”

This gives you a good perspective on how you act toward the ones you love.  This scripture shifts the definition of love from a fleeting feeling to a deliberate set of actions and choices. You can say, love holds everything together.  It shows us that actions always speak louder than words.  It is something for us to think about.  God Bless.  Amen.
