What has happened to being polite and respectful,

What has happened to being polite and respectful, opening a door for someone.

What has happened to being polite and respectful, opening a door for someone. Saying “Yes Sir” and “No Sir” or “Yes ma’am” and “No ma’am?” Now days, you see people saying whatever they want. What happened to keeping mean and nasty words to yourself? As my mother always said, “If you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all.” I saw on Facebook the other day youth sitting on a bus, playing on their phone not even bothering to give an elderly woman their seat. Wouldn’t it have been nice if one of them had gotten up and said, “Here take my seat!” That would have been polite and respectful. The right thing to do. Titus 2:7 reads, “In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness…” Then 1 Peter 2:17a says, “Show proper respect to everyone, love other believers, honor God, and respect the King.” It is something we need to remember. It is something we need to start doing again. God Bless. Amen.
