When another person is frustrated, angry, or hurt, a few kind words will go a long way.

When another person is frustrated, angry, or hurt, a few kind words will go a long way. But if you choose to fight back, get mad, frustrated, or angry usually what happens is an argument occurs and can quickly get out of control. When someone is angry it is hard not to get angry right back at that person. It is tit for tat—you are mean to me and I will be mean right back at you. When you give back as much as you got, especially in retaliation for something painful things will escalate. Remember that a few kind words of love and encouragement could turn things around. Sometimes, we just must take the higher road. Sometimes, we need to stay quiet, stay centered and listen. Then when the storm passes talk it out. I knew this wonderful couple, they made a pack with each other when they first got married. When an argument would occur, they would go into different rooms, write out their feelings and frustrations then give the note to the other person. Nine times out of ten, as they wrote those harsh words, the meanness, and unkind things would not be as important. Kindness emerged. James 1:19-20 says, “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to be become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” It is something to consider. God Bless. Amen.
