When I was in 5th and 6th grade,

When I was in 5th and 6th grade, I went to school with kids who were downright mean to me. Those years hurt me, and to this day at times it still haunts me. My first marriage had the same effects on me. It was a rough marriage. Injustices, meanness, cruelty can happen to us all. Have you ever been mistreated? Have you ever been ridiculed or made fun of? Have you ever had an injustice happen to you? When this injustice occurred how did you handle it? How do you handle it? For when you think of it, the memory can sting all over again. The reason I bring this up is you cannot right a wrong, you can overcome it and let it go. When I need to let go of something I go to God in prayer. I give God my pain and heartache. Ecclesiastes 3:17 says, “I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.” And remember Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Today, whatever it is that you need to let go of—go to God, He can help you forgive the wrongs that have been done unto you, because life is so much better when you can let go of the pain and heartache. For you cannot change the past, you do not know what the future will bring, all you have is today. This very moment, so make the most of it! Don’t let the past dictate how you live today. God Bless. Amen.
