When out and about you can meet the nicest people.

When out and about you can meet the nicest people. And then some people you meet are rude and there are some people you meet that do not give you the time of day, even when you say “hi.” People are people no matter where you go or where you live. My question is do you get upset if a person does not respond to your hello or to your smile or you opening up a door for someone. Do you do these things to get an acknowledgement, or do you do it because it is a nice thing to do and what God want you to do? Sometimes we forget that the only person we can control is “ourself.” This includes doing what God wants us to do and to be. How the other person responds is not your problem/your issues. We need to focus on what God wants us to do. For you never really know what another person is going through and maybe the reason why they did not respond is because they are going through pain and heartache or they didn’t see you or they are on the phone. Ephesians 4:32a reads, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other…” Colossians 3:12 says, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Galatians 6:10a tells us, “So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone…” These scriptures tell us that it is not about how another person responds to your kindness, it is about what you are to do. Let us try to remember that as we are out and about. God Bless. Amen.
