When we were very young, we all believed

When we were very young, we all believed in a magical God, a God who did things for us.

June 20, 2025

When we were very young, we all believed in a magical God, a God who did things for us. We believed this God did everything we wanted when we wanted. Then as we grew older, we began to understand who and what God is and is about. As our understanding of God grew. We found that God is a God of relationship. Thus, as our relationship grew, we understood God more. We wanted to spend more time with Him, and this is manifested through prayer. Yes, God answers prayers, but He is not a magical God. The one sure thing you learn is that God is with you in all situations and circumstance. And sometime what you ask for occurs in God’s way, not our way, in God’s time not our time. And sometimes an unanswered prayer is the right answer. Today, whatever it is you want God to do—remember God works on God’s time and God is never late. 1 John 5:14 says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” God Bless. Amen.
