When you are down and out, what do

When you are down and out, what do you do?

March 4, 2024

When you are down and out, what do you do? How do you take care of yourself? Do cry or scream, do you shake your fists at the injustice of your life? Do you journal or see a counselor? Do you exercise, pull weeds, clean house? Do you meditate or listen to music? Do you go to bed hoping your life circumstances will change? Do you feel sorry for yourself? All of the above, none of the above? Some of the above? I believe, all of the above are good and OK ways to deal with life’s difficulties. But to me the best thing to do is to seek the Lord. Think about it. When you are down, knowing not what to do—turn to God. When life seems overwhelming, and you feel as if there is no way out—turn to God. When you are frustrated and wanting to scream—turn to God. When you are so angry and all you want to do is cry out your pain—turn to God. When life is good and wonderful—turn to God. No matter what life throw your way—turn to God. Remember what Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me.” For the joy of the LORD is our strength. (Nehemiah 8:10) Turn to God! It is something to remember. God Bless. Amen.
