When you are mad at someone, do you yell at them, give them the cold shoulder, give them the silent treatment, write down your grievances and give it to them, or do you sit down and talk about the issue at hand? Do your pray in silent for God’s help? There are many ways in which a person can communicate their anger and frustration. Learning to do this in a healthy manner is the key. It is learning how to respond and not react when you are angry. Colossians 3:13 read, “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the LORD forgave you.” This scripture tells us what to do when we are angry and have a grievance with someone. Proverbs 19:11 reads, “Sensible people control their temper; they earn respect by overlooking wrongs.” This is about learning how to be calm. Then James 1:19-20 reads, “Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.” It is something to think about. It is something to strive for and learn how to do! For it is learning how to respond not to react to the situation, when you are mad. Don’t you think? God Bless. Amen.
