When you are young, you want to accomplish

When you are young, you want to accomplish and do so many things.

December 30, 2023

When you are young, you want to accomplish and do so many things. You dream big. You strive to fulfill your dreams. Then as you get older, your dreams change. Your relationships become more important than going after your dreams. You even look back on your life, wondering how you might have done things differently. You think, “If you knew back then what I know now,” but that is not how life works. We make mistakes. We fall down and we get back up. We say and do things that we regret, but when we believe in God, we know that we are forgiven. That we are loved and accepted for who and what we are. We realize that life is too short to live with regrets. This is where God comes in; he turns the tables on our regrets. And if we let Him, God can use our regrets, our mistakes in life to help others. Our mistakes, our regrets turn into wisdom and knowledge. Today, try not to be so hard on yourself. You do not have to be. Go to God, feel His love, forgiveness, and acceptance and know you are a beloved child of God created in God’s image. Loved and accepted always. Deuteronomy 32:10 reads, “He found him in the desert land, And in the howling waste of a wilderness. He guarded him as the apple of His eye.” God loves you—love yourself as God does. Let go of your regrets. God Bless. Amen.
