When you pray for someone, you lift up that person’s needs to God, whether it is illness, a broken relationship, loss of work, a spiritual crisis, confusion, heavy laden, or grief or whatever the person is going through. When you pray for someone, that you do not know, you lift that person up to God saying, “I do not know what I need to pray for this person, but you do Lord. So help this person as only you can. Let them feel your Spirit moving in and through them. Thank you Lord. Amen.” When someone says to you, “I will keep you in my prayers?” you feel good. You feel blessed, because you know someone is mentioning you, thinking of you and lifting you up to God. We are called to comfort and encourage one another. Making an effort to pray for someone is important. It is part of our faith. Today, my prayer for you is: “May the power of the Holy Spirit move in and through you. May you experience joy and laughter throughout the day. May you know that God is with you, even when life does not seem to be going your way. Now I prayer for Jesus’ blood of protection upon you, that God blesses you on this day and may you feel deeply loved for indeed you are. These things we pray in Jesus’ Name.” Amen. God Bless.
