Who do you hold a grudge against? Who

Who do you hold a grudge against?

October 4, 2024

Who do you hold a grudge against? Who in your life are you unable to forgive? Who in your life do you resent because of what that person did to you? Life is life. We get hurt by others. Things happen. And there are different perspectives on what transpired and why it is hard for us to forgive that person. Scripture tells us in Matthew 18:21, “Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, ‘Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.’” Wow! That scripture tells us do not hold a grudge. Forgive! Think about this, does forgiveness have to do with PRIDE? Is that why you do not forgive? Here is the thing, God does not give up on anyone—ever. God believes in us, hopes in us, and wants us all to live our lives as believers in God and that means to forgive. God does not hold grudges. God always forgives no matter what we have done. We have all hurt someone and we all have been hurt by someone. Shouldn’t we do as God does and forgive those who have wronged us? It is something to think about. God Bless. Amen.
