You make a call to someone, but that

You make a call to someone, but that person does not call you back.

December 14, 2024

You make a call to someone, but that person does not call you back. You begin to hypothesize why he/she hasn’t called you back. You wonder what you could have perhaps done. Your imagination begins to get the best of you. You think of all sorts of different possibilities as to why this person hasn’t called you back. You call again and still you do not get an answer. You begin to wonder if there could be some sort of misunderstanding. But what if the reason that person has not called you back is something simple and has nothing to do with you! Isn’t this how we feel when God does not answer our prayers? We begin to doubt and wonder why, fretting and coming to a hasty conclusion. See, we do not see the whole picture, for we function through our understandings, our desires and wants. Today, let go and let God—trust, believe and have faith that it will all work out. Anais Nin says, “We do not see things as they are, we see things as we are.” So, before you assume, try asking. Be patient. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:25) God Bless. Amen.
