Sometimes we doubt and wonder where is our God?

December 9, 2024

Sometimes we doubt and wonder where is our God? Doubt means a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction. Sometimes we even question the existence of God. To question means raising of a doubt about or objection to something. Sometimes we cannot even imagine that there could be a God with all the evil in this world. We question the presence of God because of the wickedness of the world. Thus, it becomes difficult to comprehend or visualize, or even picture in our mind, God’s existence. What causes us to doubt, question or image that God exists is because of the evil that exists. Evil is a profound immorality and wickedness. Isaiah 45:7 reads, “I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil: I am the Lord, that does all things.” Evil exists because it is part of knowledge. To have knowledge deals with all things; good and evil, life and death, sickness and health, light and darkness. Knowledge encompasses all things. Not just the good and wonderful. Scripture tells us that there is a God and that He is always with us. Romans 8:37-39 tells us, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our LORD.” God is with us in all situations and circumstances, even the yuckiness of life. He is the one sure thing in this life. Believe it. Trust it. God will see you through whatever you are going through. God Bless. Amen.
