What is the one thing that you regret

What is the one thing that you regret not doing in your life?

July 2, 2023

What is the one thing that you regret not doing in your life? What regrets do you have, not riding in a hot air balloon, climbing a mountain no one has ever climbed? Maybe it is not going deep-sea fishing or not going to all 50 states. Could it be not going deep into the ocean on a submarine or traveling around the world? How about seeing, how fast you can drive a race car? Maybe you regret not marrying your high school sweetheart or spending more time with the ones you love? Maybe you regret working so many hours, even though it did provide for your family? When I was working at Hospice, I found that when you are faced with death, you have a tendency to look back over your life. It is a time for reflection and for some regrets. The things that most of the people whom I saw, regretted not spending enough time with loved ones, not letting go of being hurt by others, not forgiving those that have wronged you, working too many hours, and not telling the ones you love how important they are to you. It was never selfish thoughts or wants. It was about relationships, love and forgiveness. We only have one life to live. Each day, God gives us a new day. We can use the day for good or we can waste it on self-centeredness, self-pity. The choice is always ours. So how will you use this day? For once this day is gone and you can never get it back. There are NO re-do’s. One thing is for sure. I do not want to look back upon my life with regrets! How about you? Philippians 3:13-14 tells us, “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal and for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” God Bless. Amen.
