You cannot please everyone.

You cannot please everyone. You might try, but in the end you will please no one, not even yourself. Think about it, we try to please those we think do not like us or who are mad at us? We reason in our minds. “That if I do all the things I know that this person will like me.” Hoping and praying the person will like me and not reject me nor be mad at me. And usually what happens is the person we are trying to please rejects us. We are hurt and wonder, “But I did everything in my power so that person would like me!” We think we can change how a person feels. We can’t. All we can do is stay true to who and what we are—knowing that we are a decent human being and we have value. See, God loves us—forgives us—and accepts us as we are. The key in life is learning to see ourselves through God’s eyes. Learning to feel confident with ourselves and loving ourselves for who and what we are. Thus, we no longer need to try to please others. For we know we are loved and have value. Galatians 1:10 reads, “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” It is something to think about—it is something to remember. God Bless. Amen.
