Each of us are responsible for our own

Each of us are responsible for our own happiness.

February 10, 2024

Each of us are responsible for our own happiness. We at times are under the illusion that we can make another person happy. We reason in our mind that if I am nicer, if I work harder, if I dress better, if I never go against the grain, if I try harder this person will be happy. This is not the case, we cannot make anyone happy, we are responsible only for our own happiness. We cannot make this other person happy. Sure things can and will influence our happiness but the bottom line is we choose to be happy, mad, sad, or glad and so does the other person. Once we realize we have no control over another person’s happiness, our life becomes better. For we understand that happiness is an inside job, it comes from within us. Happiness is always a choice. And if that is true—then choose to be happy—for the joy of the LORD is our strength. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:11) God bless. Amen.
