“My soul YEARNS for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you.” To yearn means to have an intense feeling of longing for something, typically something that one has lost or been separated from. (Isaiah 26:9a) “My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.” (Psalm 42:2a) To thirst for something is needing or wanting a drink, to quench one’s thirst. “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:26) When our flesh deteriorates or our heart stops, we can no longer keep going. “O God, you are my God; I will seek you diligently. My soul thirsts for you; my flesh longs for you…” (Psalm 63:1a) When you are diligent you show care and conscientiousness in one’s life. Sometimes we need to be reminded how important God is in our daily lives. Let us remember that God is our all in all, without Him we are nothing. Today, let us keep our eyes upon the LORD God Almighty. Let us yearn, thirst, have unfailing love and be diligent about wanting to seek our Lord! Seek the LORD! God Bless. Amen.
