To wait means to stay where one is

To wait means to stay where one is or delay action until a particular time or until something else happens.

To wait means to stay where one is or delay action until a particular time or until something else happens. Waiting at times can be very difficult. Especially when we are waiting for a very important out come to occur. In fact, none of us like to wait. As we wait we fill in our time with things to do so that we will be distracted, thus we reason in our minds that our waiting time will go faster. Different things we can wait for the birth of a child. Finding out if we got the new job, waiting to see if we will get the house, we have been wanting. We even wait for the results of a wealth issue. We wait to see if we get financed on a project we are doing, waiting for Mr. or Mrs. Right, to name a few things. Waiting is one of the hardest things we face, because if we are honest we all want to know the outcome now! We do not like to WAIT! Scripture tells us in “We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.” (Psalms 33:20) “I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the LORD…” (Psalms 130:5) “…those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31) I believe, the only thing that truly helps us in our waiting is turning to God for the strength, courage, and yes hope to see us through any given situation. Today, turn to God. He will give you the peace that passes all understanding as you wait. God Bless. Amen.
