Do you ever feel like you do more

Do you ever feel like you do more than your spouse, a friend, a co-work, or your children?

October 23, 2023

Do you ever feel like you do more than your spouse, a friend, a co-work, or your children? Feelings of resentment can occur, anger and frustration too. You could even hold a grudge. Instead of letting feeling of resentment or anger arise. You can keep going, doing what you do and realize that we all have gifts and we all contribute in different ways. In Luke 10:40-41 it reads, “As Mary sits at Jesus’s feet, Martha finds herself “distracted by her many tasks.” Consumed by worry, anxiety and resentment, Martha demands that Jesus tell Mary to help her. Feeling justified, Martha receives an answer from Jesus she surely did not anticipate. Jesus commends Mary for sitting at his feet, inviting Martha to consider the way in which she serves.” God has given us all gifts to use. Some of us go to work, others stay home and take care of the children, others clean, create, cook, manage the books, take care of the lawn, and some do it all. We are not called to hold a grudge nor be resentful of others. If you think about it everything evens out. Today, if you have resentment, anger, frustration or you are holding a grudge give it to God. Let it go and let God. For the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY will give you the peace and calmness you need, as YOU do, what God has called you to do and to be. Don’t worry about the other person. That person is a child of God too. For the only person you can manage or take care of is yourself! So enjoy, laugh, dance, do what God has called you to do. For life is too short. So make the most of it and be the best you can be! God Bless. Amen.
