Galatians 2:20 reads, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” This scripture talks about being crucified with Christ. Which means that a believer has spiritually died with Christ to their old sinful self and is now alive in a new life with Christ. The old has passed away and the new has been formed. It means through the power of Jesus Christ my old ways no longer control me. I am a new creation living a life in Christ. I no longer live my life for myself, my wants, and my desires. I put Christ first in all things. Because I am now aware that He lives within me. And because I know that Christ lives within me, other things are no longer my God. Such as clothes, food, alcohol, drugs, money, pride, greed, lust, wrath, sloth, jealousy, coveting other’s things, envy. Those things no longer control me. I now have a desire to live a life modeled after Christ’s example. And when situations come up, I ask myself, “What would Jesus do?” Because if Christ would not do it, neither should I. It is something for us to take to heart. It is something we should all live by and remember. Christ lives within me! God Bless. Amen.
