Have you ever had something you did not

Have you ever had something you did not want to do?

February 17, 2024

Have you ever had something you did not want to do? An unwanted obligation—something you really did not want to do yet you needed to do it? As you think about it, this obligation becomes a burden. When it becomes a burden, it is hard to get out of that mode, you think about how hard the situation is. In fact, you begin to think how unfair life is, that you would have to do this in the first place. You start feeling sorry for yourself. See, attitude is everything. You choose to be happy, mad, sad, or glad. You choose to feel sorry for yourself and you choose to see life either as a burden or you can find the silver lining and make the best out of the situation. The choice is always yours. Life is life. Sometimes, it is hard and other times not so hard, but the bottom line is this, you make your life what you want it to be. So always, do your best and try seeing the situation from a positive perspective. Proverbs 17:22 reads, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Then Ephesians 4:31-32 tells us, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Today, whatever you are going through remember attitude is everything so make this day a good one and don’t forget this is the first day of the rest of your life. How are you going to use this day. Are you going to waste it on feeling sorry for yourself or are you going to trust God and make the most out of it? God Bless. Amen.
