If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven…

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14) To humble yourself means putting aside your pride and ego, acknowledge your own imperfections, and recognizing your own importance as being no greater than others. It is practicing active listening, instead of always talking and making yourself the center of every situation. Admitting your mistakes when you are wrong. And being vulnerable on an emotional level with others. A humble person does not require constant praise or recognition for their achievements. Because their self-worth is through their relationship with God. This scripture then tells us to pray—pray in all situations and circumstances. To seek God in all things and turn from wrong and sinful behavior. Because the closer you get to God the less worldly things appeal to you. And the Lord God Almighty will hear you, forgive you. Just think if we all did this how very different this world would be. God would heal our land! God Bless. Amen.
