Shame is a horrible thing to carry around with you.

Shame is a horrible thing to carry around with you. To have shame means a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behavior. Who hasn’t done something foolish or wrong? Thus, shame emerges. Shame can cause us to get stuck in life because we feel so bad, so embarrassed, that we think we do not deserve to be forgiven. Thus, we carry our shame with us. That burden no one needs to carry. Yet we do. The hardest person to forgive is your SELF! God forgives you. PERIOD!!!! The journey we need to take is to learn how to forgive ourselves. We all make mistakes. We all do dumb things. We all sin. That does not mean we are a bad person, it means we are human. Today, hear these words, “God loves you. God believes in you. God forgives you. God will never give up on you.” Now focus on those words. Chant them over and over again. As you do this you will reprogram your thinking and soon you will get rid of the shame and come to realize just how special you are. Luke 12:7 reads, “Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than the sparrows.” Believe it. God Bless. Amen.
