We all sin and fall short of God’s

We all sin and fall short of God’s Glory.

May 2, 2025

We all sin and fall short of God’s Glory. We all have reoccurring sins. For me it is cussing. For someone else it is gossiping. For another it is pride. Some people horde, others are slothful. Some are envious, others will not forgive which turns into pride. While others lust, or are greedy, or envy what another person has. We all have sins that we seem to cling to. We know we should give them up, but we don’t. People continue to sin for a variety of reasons, including the inherent human tendency towards sin. We are pleasure seeking creatures who have a tendency to think only of ourselves, thus throwing ourselves into sin. Sin can also occur from the lack of consideration for the consequences of our actions. 1 John 3:6 says, “No one who abides in him (referring to our Lord) keeps on sinning, no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.” Ouch! Is this true? James 4:17 tells us, “So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.” Sin, separates us from God! So back to my question. Why do we keep doing reoccurring sin? It is something to think about. God Bless. Amen.
