We are all works in progress. We must

We are all works in progress.

April 11, 2025

We are all works in progress. We must remember that we are always evolving, no matter what our age. Every day if we want, we can learn something new and hopefully with age we gain experience. I remember when I was young my parents would say, “Respect your elders.” It was ingrained into my being. Sure, at any age there are people who are wise beyond their years and vice versa! But usually wisdom comes with experience and age. Job 12:12 reads, “Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?” Proverbs 1:7 says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Sometimes we need to listen, research, find out the facts before we speak. For wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement and understanding. Ephesians 5:15-17 tells us, “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the LORD is.” Wisdom is the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgement, the quality of being wise. Wisdom involves not just knowing facts but also applying that knowledge practically and ethically. Wisdom is something we all need to strive for! God Bless. Amen.
