When I was young, I thought God would

When I was young, I thought God would be angry with me when I did something wrong.

When I was young, I thought God would be angry with me when I did something wrong. In a way that is kind a true, but not true at all. God created us. We are His children. The Bible tells us to call Him Abba, Father. Romans 8:15 says, “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out ‘Abba, Father’” God loves us, always! The misunderstanding of God’s anger comes in when we sin. For sin separates us from God. (Revelations 15:7) Isaiah 59:2 reads, “Every sin we commit affect our relationship with Him since sin separates us from God.” When we sin, God is not a part of our action, the sin. For God is not from sin. God cannot sin; it would mean that He would act against His own will and nature. Thus, when we confess our sins, we are enfolded into God and God’s love. For He forgives all our sins. That is why Jesus the Christ, the Son of the living God can into this world. So that we would not be separated from God love. Period. That is why it is so important for us to confess our sins, daily. So that we can have fellowship with our Lord and be in His presence. Sometimes we forget this. Sometimes we feel undeserving of God’s love. Sometimes we just cannot believe that God could and would love us so much—unconditionally—always and forever. That is why asking for forgiveness is so important. 1 John 1:8-9 states, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Sometimes we just need to be reminded. GOD LOVES YOU! GOD FORGIVES YOU. Now forgive yourself, as God does. God Bless. Amen.
